This is well and truly one of the coolest and most impressive antique houses I have ever seen with Chic Marrakech.

It is a lofty and grand 17th century 350m2 riad towering over the centre of the Medina – bang next to the main square – La Place Jemaa el Fna.

Its location is incredible. The riad is situated in the absolute epicentre of town – with utterly astonishing 360 degree views from the roof – and it is right on the door step of the carnival and drama of La Place Jemaa el Fna – the focal point of ancient Marrakech.

The riad is located in the exceptionally convenient quarter of Riad el Mogha – next to the landmark Tazi hotel – and has direct car access and immediate off-street parking. To arrive at the riad guests do not even have to wander into an alley. I am telling you – it is good.

The property is super old and has been beautifully restored – retaining its wealth of original Moroccan architectural detailing.

As can be seen from the photographs, the result is something else.

Everything about this restored riad is perfect, and it has kept its sense of age and authenticity – which is integral.

It absolutely has not been overly restored and spoilt – which is too often the case.
